The funny fam :)

Hailey has been getting more and MORE into makeup. We had a hayday the other night getting her loaded up on it! If you look closely, you can see one blue eyeshadow, one green, and of course, the big cat eye - eyeliner. She had fun, and enjoyed taking self-portraits... this is one of them.

We took the kids to the Draper temple open-house last week. Here's Dave & Jenna on the bus over there.
Here's Derek... I LOVE this picture. He was SOOOOO excited to go to the temple, and when he found out he got to take a bus up there, he was even MORE excited! He would see pictures in there and keep saying - "Look Mom, it's Jesus", and "Look Mom, Jesus again" and so on... It was really fun to take the kids there. I wish I had a picture of all of us, but it didn't work out...

Jenna has started eating solids. She had been doing great w/ cereal, so I decided to try her out on some veggies. As you can see from her look - she is not quite so into green beans. I've tried several times w/ her, but she just stores them up in her mouth, and then lets them drip out of her mouth. Sweet Potatoes however, she loves!! Yay, for our big girl!

The proof will not set you free

In our house, Derek is CONSTANTLY the first one up and about. Usually, he'll just go play in the toyroom until someone wakes up to feed him. (And - I might add, we are NOT late sleepers, i'm up by 7:15 -- he's just up MUCH earlier!). But - today, I got up, made his breakfast, and noticed on the kitchen counter, than the mint frosted brownies I'd made last night had been man-handled. Or... as the size of the marks show... Derek-handled.

I of course knew it was him, so I asked him why he got into the brownies. His reply (only one a 3 year old can pull off...) "I really liked them, and they are good". Well - DUH! I know they are good! :) Little stinker... I couldn't be too mad, because he was honest... I just hope next time he doesn't stick his fingers in every square inch of them.

Aren't kids sweet when they're sick??

Derek & I have spent the last week being sick at home, and although it's so sad when kids are sick - they are so sweet! I feel like I have my little lovey 2 year old boy again! He snuggles, hugs, gives kisses, has been SO much nicer to be around! I hope that it won't all fade away as he gets better!
