Sundance~

We decided is was due time for hailey to try out something up in the mountains. She decided that she wanted to attempt snow-boarding. So we left dim and early & headed up Provo Canyon to Sundance.

Here's dave & I on the lift. We got in several good runs while Hailey was in her lesson.
Bundled!! It was like 9 degrees when we got up there, and I'm sure it was colder at the top of the mountain...
Dave looking not so enthusiastic, not his best photo :)
Hailey was all smiles eating her yummy cookie when she was done w/ her lesson. She was SO pink in the cheeks, poor girl, and she said her butt hurt from falling so many times. She took one guy down coming down the hill, pretty funny! She thinks she may want to try it again :)

Game night

The day after Christmas, we went over to my sister Michele's house for games before my parents made their way back to arizona.
This is my brother Steve doing his crazy eyes... :)
Dave, playing cards w/ my mom, michele & sis-in-law Jenny. He won, but may have cheated, there's no real way to be sure...
Derek playing with Bethany - he loved playing w/ all the cousins.
Hailey mastering the hula hoop.

The continued festivities...

Dave got Hailey, Derek & I rockband for a family christmas present. It's like Guitar hero, only there are three parts: Drums, guitar & vocals. It was hilarious watching his brother & sister rock out.
Hailey actually did really well on her singing - I think she got a 94% for accuracy - yeah hailey!

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning came and went quickly as everyone ripped through their gifts (except Derek - he just wanted to sit on his bike -- which he fell off of a dozen or more times during the day). Hailey loved her moto-razor, which she has yet to try because the roads are still covered with ice. She also loved her Hannah Montana & HS Musical cds. The picture right above is dave opening his coat rack that I got him (more, I got it for me-- HA!) We all had a great morning.

Christmas Eve

We had a great Christmas Eve! Amidst the snow and 4,000 cars, Dave, Hailey, Derek & I all drove up to Farmington to my brother Steve's house. We had a great time frosting cookies, eating yummy food, singing songs, doing the Christmas story with hand puppets and exchanging gifts. I just love my family, and I treaure spending time with them.

My mom - loving her gifts!
My sister Christine, holding our nephew Eli (isn't he SO darling?!)

This is the Place~

We went up to This is the Place with Derek and Dave's folks - Jim & Linda. Here is Derek petting Prancer - it's a real reindeer!
This was on our train-ride around town. (Do we look bundled enough?)
Jim & Linda
Me trying to be warm - however you bundle for it - 20 degrees is just cold!!
Outside the church-house where they had a cute puppet show. Derek loved the puppets!

Ten things I love about Christmas!!

My darling nephew Ben!
Being with all my sisters - Michele, Melanie & Christine!
Dave & Derek trying to lead the music!
Singing Christmas carols with the family!!
Did I mention - Opening Christmas presents!?!? Yay!
Derek taking the term "stocking" literally!
Dave! Now, that's happiness if I've ever seen it! :0
Seeing my dad.
Hailey getting to play with her cousins (Cami here)
Spending time with my beautiful niece Brittanie

The Lights at the square!

I went with Hailey's activity day's group to temple square last week. We had a fun time looking at the lights. We watched the movie down there of Christ's birth. I think the girls really enjoyed it. On the way home, we took trax, and there was a stopped train, so we had to get off, catch a bus, go to the next trax stop & get back on. Pretty ridiculous :0 But, the girls had a fun time, and so did I!

Forgotten Carols

Hailey & Mimi (Dave's mom Linda)
Us!
We went to the Forgotten Carols last night - it is a tradition of ours to go each Christmas season. We really enjoy the feel-good spirit it brings! (Don't you love hailey's face?!)

Dinner party!

The main setup - we had great food & company!
White Elephant victories - ha!
Guesstures anyone?
Okay, so we had a fun dinner party with some friends on Sunday. We invited 4 couples over - most were longtime friends of Dave's (from Hurricane). We had a great time eating dinner & doing a white elephant swap. Dave's gift was great - size 12 pink fuzzy slippers! HA! We ended off the evening with games - guesstures and Mafia. It was really fun. Part of my favorite thing about this season is the get togethers. I really enjoy seeing old friends & new, and setting new traditions!

I love to shop!!

Amber, Melanie & Me
Amber & Melanie
Me!!
Yesterday I went shopping with my girlfriends, and we had SO much fun! We left as soon as the kids were off to school & hit up all of our favorite places -I had great luck at Hobby Lobby & Rod Works, as well as a few other shops. We had a fun day running all over the valley, and stopped for a yummy lunch at Mimi's. Don't you just love those Honey Oat Muffins?! I know I do! After we hit Robert's, our last stop - we headed home, and the day had passed us by - all too quickly - I had a blast with Amber & Mel - they are awesome!

Snowball fight goes bad....

The other night Dave & I took the kids to dinner & a movie - Hailey, seeing the snow piles on the ground, had the brilliant idea to go after Dave.... See for yourself-->
Here, little Hailey looks so excited as she gears up for the big attack
The moment of truth - Hailey launches one, then another at Dave
Dave immediately retaliates... his theme in life being "I don't get even, I get ahead"... and true to his word - Hailey gets dumped head first into a snow pile!
Doesn't this look like fun to you!! HAHA!
